An answer to Mr. Carlos Teysera Rouco

editor: this letter encourages the intrigue of Mr. Carlos Teysera Rouco (Weekly Search, letter to the editor) by reason spurs Argentines to believe in the theory a Carlos Gardel French.
I'm not an anthropologist specializing in culture-specific behaviors. But I am from Argentina and I really find it natural for the Argentines, or at least some of them - many will not know that there are two theories about his birth - Gardel is French or at least his birthplace was France.
To this we must delve a bit into the idiosyncrasies of Argentina, I am no anthropologist, I repeat, but I live in Argentina since I was born and although I do not reach the half century, I have enough idea of \u200b\u200bhow people feel and think that our but my countrymen call him "this country" (surely a way not to be defects by themselves.)
my attention not for example, that consider as true a document known as a holograph that all views is trucho , when trucho the degree of many of our leaders, how they arrive at office.
Trucho is the title of doctor prescription miracle pills, trout are the pills and many drugs, phony are CDs and DVDs that we consume, truchos are cell phones, set-top boxes of TV sold in the street, trout is clothing, zapatillas de marca que compramos, etc. etc.
No me llama la atención que prefiramos a un Gardel francés antes que uruguayo, cuando el padre de la educación argentina llamaba civilización a lo extranjero y barbarie a lo local, cuando trajo para educar a los argentinos USA Boston teachers who did not speak Castilian, when systematically copy European models that do not fit or in our climate, and with our history.
Why, if what comes out is better than the local going to believe that Gardel was Uruguayan!
Moreover, the aggressiveness, anger and insults are common among our countrymen when it comes to defending any cause, and the pickets, roadblocks, strikes indefinitely, always taking hostage innocent people (on a subway, planes, trains, buses, routes, etc.. just to name a few) should not we defend the worst of bad manners French Gardel theory if all you defend with the same passion although we have no right!
I prefer striking that a French Gardel when our president prefers Italian handbags to Argentines, even though we have a long tradition and centuries-old harness leather industry.
I do not know if these reasons enough to explain to Mr Teysera Rouco how Argentines think and feel, may have to add that a serious study has no validity against Argentina a genuine feeling that we are owners truth that God is Argentine the pen, fingerprint, alfajores (Arabic word by the way) the group and the hand of God was a legitimate Creole and we stoked all our right to defend to the death.
I'm sure the (affectionately) old wrecks, as would Isidoro Canyons will agree with me when I say, sure, that Gardel is French. Margarita Monreal
